Welcome to Utah's Kenpo 5.0!

About Jeff Speakman's Kenpo 5.0:

Kenpo 5.0 is the evolutionary product of Mr. Ed Parker modified by Mr. Jeff Speakman.  The scientific principals and sound motion that American Kenpo offers remain while elements of ground fighting have been added to adhere to the fighter of the 21st century.

While this is not grappling or cage fighting, it is an expanding philosophy of Kenpo to produce the Kenpo ground system that gives our students the maximum ability to defend themselves.

Why take Kenpo 5.0?

For fitness, for fun, to learn self defense, and to know how to stay safe.  To become a goal oriented individual and to feel the satisfaction of obtaining those goals.  Kenpo 5.0 teaches individuals to stay alert, stay aware, and stay safe.  Our students increase their attentiveness, assertiveness, and become respectful of parents and teachers.  Become a leader, become a 5.0 Kenpoist!

We also provide classes taught in American Sign Language for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.  Mr. Avarell, being fluent in ASL, oversees the classes with his Assistant Instructor and Brown Belt, Caralee Crye.
